One day, luck was on her side as she cross paths with of a member of the powerful Nocturnis clan, one of Mermesii’s rare affluent lineages not bound by Sarin blood. Intrigued by the spark in the child’s eyes, this matriarch decided to cultivate her, discerning in her a raw, untapped potential.
Thus began Valkyra’s second life. Educated by the Nocturnis clan, she was immersed in a world of knowledge, protocol, and politics, which she absorbed with astonishing alacrity. Her mind proved prodigiously gifted in social analysis and diplomacy. She excelled in the arts of rhetoric and negotiation, transmuting her Lunian temperament into a formidable force of persuasion. After years of this unconventional tutelage, the Nocturnis clan, recognizing her immense talent and boundless ambition, bestowed upon her the honor of their name, adopting her fully into their fold.
Now Valkyra Nocturnis, she ascended relentlessly. Her innate charisma and sharpened social intelligence rendered her indispensable within Mermesii’s influential circles. Her rigorous studies and burgeoning connections led her to undertake missions for the Order of Melariel, serving initially as an assistant to the Herald, before assuming the mantle of succession herself mere years later. Today, at 36, the Voice of Lightning stands as the Order’s public face, an unparalleled diplomat with atypical origins.
