Veda Rhyz is a celebrated figure within the academic circles of Andromeda, hailing from the prestigious Clan Oln-Var. She resides in Maelora, a city in southern Anainia known for its progressive thought and proximity to the Kinemian border. As a master Spellcrafter, Veda does not simply cast magic; she engineers it. She is famous for deconstructing ancient, unstable incantations and reweaving them into efficient, modern spells used by mages across the continent. Her lectures at the great universities are standing-room-only events, known for her sharp wit and her ability to simplify the most complex arcane theories.
Despite the prejudices some hold against her Ogris origins and Mantalune alignment, Veda commands respect through sheer intellect. She shares a deep, intellectual friendship with Karyn, the Archmage of Mermesii. Their bond is built on a shared obsession with magical theory, often debating late into the night via communication crystals about the ethical limits of mana manipulation. Veda is a staunch supporter of the Freedom Alliance, believing that knowledge thrives only where tyranny (like the remnants of strict Sarin law) dies.
